My Robot Friend - Robot Class Room [2009]

My Robot Friend’s newest album is called “Soft-Core”. It was released last year and has been over one year in the making. Featuring a dense, forward-looking electronic palette of sounds and a glowing sense of humor, “Soft-Core” is as ground-breaking as it is catchy. The new music has been garnering advance praise and features from Pitchforkmedia, Stereogum, GBH, and the New York Observer! The lead single is the robot anthem of the new decade. Enjoy!

Oh Dutch! This follow-up to the award-winning commercial from my previous post puns on the Walk-in fridge. Clearly a piece of its time: a Polish contractor is given instructions in ‘steenkolen’ English, but thanks to the universal desire of men the message gets across all the same.

theoretic:

Homebrew robot brewing coffee with some external assistance.  The amount of time put into both desiging the figure and programming the movements must have been astounding.

Röyksopp – The Girl and the Robot [2009]

The lyrics suggest that it’s actually not about a robot at all.

A suggestion I will politely ignore.
