Oh Dutch! This follow-up to the award-winning commercial from my previous post puns on the Walk-in fridge. Clearly a piece of its time: a Polish contractor is given instructions in ‘steenkolen’ English, but thanks to the universal desire of men the message gets across all the same.
Heikenen is famous for their commercials. This one is universal. It won this years Loekie Award.

The funky Dutch have their own Anna Boten, along with their own take on Santa Claus and helpers. Makes you wonder whether the Dutch aren’t simply promoting their sex, drugs & rock n’ roll lifestyle to obscure some far far more questionable cultural traits.
